Apr 09, 2010 10:42 AM | Coach you disappoint me! We`re heading into the most exciting week of the season so far. I`m with you that the message board is not what it once was without Rome, Peezy, and the old school trash talking, but what`s going down on the field this week will be hot! This week we have heated rivalries, offensive shootouts, and upset alerts. You name it, we got it.
Let`s start with the Week 4 BCS Rankings:
#1 - D-Mob - They`re not playmakers, they just crush a lot of squads. That 83.62% PCT is just gaudy.
#2 - Gunz - Coach Sapp: "um we number 1 until someone beats us that is all." Lee Corso: "Not so fast my friend. They`re supposed to be the best and they can`t get 8 guys to show up and smack down a B-League team? Coach is in my doghouse." Bottom line is that D-Mob is playing better, they`re the league champs, and they`re showing up for their games.
#3 - AmFam - Someone forgot to tell AmFam that you`re supposed to blow-out your B-League competition. The Dragons whipped AmFam 13 - 0 in the second half of that game. Playing down your to your competition is a sign of a bad team.
#4 - Swagger - Took care of their business on Saturday with the blow out. I think they`re a better team than AmFam right now and I would move them up if I could. But for now AmFam holds the #3 spot b/c of a week 1 head to head "W".
#5 - Westwood - Killed Heismen just like you`re supposed to. The Wood seems to be playing better defense this season, giving up 15 ppg. With that offense and a couple of stops they could beat anyone.
#6 - FU - With a two score with over RBI they`re looking pretty good. They draw another B-League team this week. I`m looking forward to their match up against Westwood next week.
#7 - Blueprint - Picked up their first Richmond League win! Nice job fellas. Now its time to fight your way to an A-League win.
A-League Predictions:
Game of the Week: AmFam vs. Gunz: AmFam considers the Gunz to be their biggest rival. The Gunz consider AmFam to be their punk little brother, whipping boy. The always play a close game, the Gunz always win in the end. The Gunz have a slight edge in the series with the series record being: Gunz 814 Wins - AmFam 0 Wins. This one will be no different, Gunz 20 - AmFam 14.
D-Mob vs. Westwood - This will be a great game to watch. These are the two best spread offenses anywhere. More pitches in this game than Nolan Ryan`s career, more scoring than Tiger Woods! D-Mob`s experience and playmakers wins out. D-Mob 27 - Westwood 20.
Swagger vs. Blueprint - Swagger is starting to look like the Power of old. Blueprint is taking their knocks as a first year team in this league. Swagger is a big two score favorite, but I`m putting this one on upset alert! Blueprint 28 - Swagger 27
FU vs. Usual Suspects - FU takes care of their business and wins by two scores. FU 26 - Usual Suspects 13.

Awe man, Coach Sapp going all AI on us. It is a tough point to argue, knowing that the Gunz only care about playoffs, states, and nationals. Too funny.
Coach Sapp - I`m only giving you guys a hard time for missing a game, b/c really there`s nothing else to give you guys a hard time for. All the respect in the world for you. Good luck this Sunday.
Sapp - I do have to catch you on one more "technicality" though. You said "were number 1 were number1 were number 1" - I say "You`re right you WERE #1, now you`re ranked #2!" Don`t worry though, take care of your business on Sunday and I`ll put you back where you belong. A win over AmFam would be the best win of the young season. That would put you back on top. | Kirk

One more thing Coach Sapp: I`m a little suprised to see you say this:
"i mean what happened to us mane this thing used to be so much fun now all these little teams/players take this game to serious i want the fun back in the game all the trash talk and all the comaradarie we used to have out there we need that old thing back"
I don`t quite get what you`re saying here. I guess I haven`t been around the league long enough to remember the "old days". What I see is a great, highly competitive league. What was it, 3 out of the 4 final 4 teams at states? Personally, I love that teams take it serious and compete hard every week. But I guess I don`t know, what I don`t know. Let me know how it used to be better or what we can do to make it more fun and I`ll get on board.
Good luck to all the squads on Sunday! May it be fun, competitive and injury free for everyone this week. | The Six Time State Champ Teligon Gunz coach |
