Today went as I though it would but with Gunz losing to Prime in the 2nd round. First game WUW just walked all over Heismen 33-14, that #1 O was clicking on all cylinders, and the D did their thing. Am Fam beat Power and it was closer than the last time the two teams met, the teams were only separted by 1 td, Power tried but just wasnt enough. Next Prime beat Wood as I thought they would but it was more lopsided then I thought it would be, with Prime blasting Wood. Gunz came from behind to beat FU in the last seconds of the game. FU needed to stop Gunz on their last possesion and could not do so, and a last second pray by FU fell to the ground as FU reciever did not attempt to make a play on the ball. That was a tough loss for Family United, but they did play better then the last time. Second round was two rematches, first WUW vs. Fam, and the second Gunz vs. Prime. WUW and Fam was a good game, but offenses scored points and they were playing a game of HORSE, with both teams countering the other`s score. WUW kept scoring and a stop by their D ensured the bunch from Bad Newz a spot in the ship as they just allowed the clock to run as thier drove down the field. Next is where my predictions stopped being right. Gunz vs. Prime, rematch of a game that the Gunz won in O.T. after Prime qb dropped the ball twice in his own backfield cost them plays. Prime came in confident after beating Wood and scored, but you know Gunz aint gone lie down so they score. It was a good game played on both sides but with a chance at the end, Prime threw it up and pulled down the TD for the game. Prime beat the defending WWFFA champs when I thought and I know most of everyone thought they wouldn`t. But hey that is why they play the game, and its WUW vs. Prime for the crown of Ruffin Road for the Spring. Can the young exciting bunch from Bad Newz come up 64 and take a championship back home with them? Or will the defending champs of Henrico County defend the 804 and stop them?....... 5/31/2009 will answer both questions! |
