This week`s them music: Nas "It`s Halftime"

If you smell Purple Haze, it`s leftover from yesterday`s 4/20 celebration. My bad.
---------------------------------------------

Halfway thru the Spring 2009 Season and we have 3 teams sitting undefeated and for the most part unchallenged.
2 are still winless but fear not...eventually you will play each other.

AmFam 2-2
vs
Dragons 0-4

Sweat on the brow after Heismen took them to the wire (again), AmFam is back from the dead. Aint nothing better than a game vs a team with 0 wins to put you over .500.

Dragons struggle. Last week did not go well. At all. This week unfortunately won`t either.

AmFam is back like they left something.

RBI 2-2
vs
New Breed 2-2

RBI falls back into struggling O mode vs Primetime. QB controversy continues.

New Breed fails twice to convert on chances to gain respect and are the latest victim of WUW.

When asked about these 2 teams, Stacy Lattisaw and Johnny Gill simultaneously asked "Where do we go FROM HERE?"

Winner...above .500
Loser...below .500

RBI has better colors.

Gunz 4-0
vs
Pro-cess 0-4

Gunz pitch a shutout last week.
Pro-cess gets shutout last week.

I`ve already spent too much time discussing this game.

FU 1-3
vs
U Suspects 1-3

That offensive explosion I was expecting...well...it happened. Can FU build on that?

Suspects not looking good but still expect to be in the playoff hunt.

Possibly the 2 best teams that are under .500 at this point. But the way the US O is scrambling, this is make or break week.

Primetime 4-0
vs
SoCo 1-3

Primetime is still primetime. Guaranteed to be in next week`s GOTW. This week they just need to stay focused and stay undefeated.

SoCo struggled last week. Similar type of O this week. Uh oh.

i-Power 3-1
vs
Heismen 1-3

Is Power officially back? Remember Dungy/Gruden...could this be the same thing in reverse? Hmmmm...

Heismen is steaming after another close one. They could be 3-1...but they are sitting at 1-3. They are like the Cardinals. For a few seasons everybody said they were about to be near the top. Took longer than expected but it happened. This could be the flag version in due time.

But Power is feeling Powerful.
No b!tch***ness.

Westwood 3-1
vs
WhoUWit 4-0

Expected to be the game of the week. Where should we start? With offense...of course.

Westwood has more offensive sets than Paris Hilton has tapes floating on the net. Not that I watched or anything.

WhoUWit has threats at every spot on O. The whole roster might have at least one TD so far.

Defense - Westwood`s causes TOs and will score.

WhoUWit`s makes plays and sets up that O.

Kicking - Does either team kick?

The difference: WhoUWit has shown up in every facet in every game. Westwood let one slip away in their rivalry game vs RBI (that`s what you get for adding some of their guys to your roster...lol).

WhoUWit avgs 34 - Westwood avgs 27

Gotta play the averages.

ANd there it be. Another week broken down by me. Van P.

Claude Hockulee will be coming around Sunday with an offering plate...cuz all this knowledge and entertainment don`t come for free.

"Clarence get that chicken bone out da offerin bucket. `Oh I thought it was a trash can.` - Coming to America

Peezy,

What would the spread be if the Gunz played Pro-Cess with their left hands tied behind their back? Do you think they would still win? Can you picture Smyree taking the snap with his right hand? Stepping up in the pocket and throwing to Still on the slant and Still catches it with one hand? On defense, they would be at a distinct disadvantage trying to pull flags with one hand and trying to block rushers with one arm.

Great job Van Peezy! I look forward to your weekly previews each week, it adds excitement to the board and also the games on Sunday. How many teams you think will be undefeated going into next week?
